Cardiff Life celebrates the best of city living. Published every three weeks, it includes the very latest on property, arts, dining and shopping, in Cardiff, Cowbridge and Penarth

Apologies in advance: we were a bit under the influence when we put together this issue of the magazine.
Obviously, it was the Christmas spirit that caused this heady feeling, but now I come to think of it we have been spending a little longer than is probably ideal in the city’s bars and restaurants, sampling some of the hedonistic delights that are in store for you over the coming months. When we weren’t having cocktails created for this magazines by Cardiff’s best mixologists we were sampling those alcoholic chocs that we all seem to eat in industrial quantities at Christmas.
Still, we rapidly sharpened up on discovering that Will Young was heading for Cardiff, and after a few strong coffees we were ready for a little chat about the new tour, why Will wants to design men’s suits, and the link between Kerry Katona and Plato. Even by Cardiff’s standards there’s an incredible choice of music, theatre and dance to take you through the winter, from the Stereophonics at the CIA to the ballet season at St David’s; one way or another, we have it all covered in this issue of Cardiff Life.
Oh, and if you see us flailing about on the civic centre ice rink over the next week or so, we’re stone cold sober, honest – we’re just not very good…
Hoffem ymddiheuro cyn dechrau: aeth hwyl yr Ŵyl i’n pennau ni wrth lunio’r rhifyn hwn o’r cylchgrawn ar eich cyfer.
Naws y Nadolig yn hytrach nag alcohol oedd yn gyfrifol am hynny wrth gwrs. Ond erbyn meddwl, rydym wedi bod yn treulio mwy o amser nag sy’n ddelfrydol ym mariau a bwytai’r ddinas efallai, yn samplu rhai o’r pleserau hedonistaidd a fydd ar gael i chi dros y misoedd nesaf. Pan nad oeddem yn yfed coctels a grëwyd ar gyfer y cylchgrawn gan gymysgwyr coctels gorau Caerdydd, roeddem wrthi’n samplu’r siocledi meddwol yr ydym i gyd fel pe baem yn eu bwyta wrth y cannoedd adeg y Nadolig.
Wedi dweud hynny, fuom ni ddim yn hir cyn sobri pan ddaeth y newydd bod Will Young yn dod i Gaerdydd. Ar ôl paned neu ddwy o goffi cryf, roeddem yn barod i gael sgwrs am daith newydd Will, pam y mae am gynllunio siwtiau i ddynion, a’r cysylltiad rhwng Kerry Katona a Plato. Mae dewis mwy anhygoel nag erioed o gerddoriaeth a chynyrchiadau theatr a dawns ar gael yng Nghaerdydd i’ch diddanu trwy gydol misoedd y gaeaf, o’r Stereophonics yn yr Arena Ryngwladol i’r tymor bale yn Neuadd Dewi Sant. Rywfodd neu’i gilydd, rydym wedi llwyddo i roi sylw i bopeth yn y rhifyn hwn o Cardiff Life.
Gyda llaw, os byddwch yn pasio’r rinc sglefrio wrth ymyl y ganolfan ddinesig yn ystod yr wythnos neu ddwy nesaf ac yn ein gweld ni’n cael gwaith sefyll ar ein traed, ein sgiliau sglefrio fydd ar fai, nid coctels - wir i chi …
